If you would like to restrict certain product groups from being sold within certain countries, please supply the following to the Help Desk:
Locations=Enter your list of locations that the product groups are allowed to send to
PGCodes=SysMed,SysMed2
ALTERNATIVE: Use Existing Categories
Alternatively, you can use existing categories instead of creating new product groups - or you can do a mixture of both. In this case, either replace PGCodes with CatCodes or add both as in the following example:
Locations=Enter your list of locations that the product groups are allowed to send to
PGCodes=SysMed,SysMed2
CatCodes=Enter one or more category codes separated by commas
Products & Categories Not Displayed for Specific Locations
When this is configured, if the user selects a specific region, then the products that are not available for that region will disappear off the website.
Sometimes the user does not change their region until the checkout, in which case they will be told at the checkout that they cannot complete their order while they have the restricted products still in their basket. After which, they can remove these products and complete their order.
Similarly, categories with no products in them will also disappear.
Option to Turn on Region Selector
The region selector automatically appears if you have multiple currencies enabled on your website. If you dont, then you can ask the Help Desk to turn on the region selector for your website.
