The platform automatically creates a BRANDS filter and a PRICE RANGE filter in the left sidebar when viewing products.
The Brands Filter
When you have assigned products to BRAND categories, the left sidebar will include a BRANDS filter. This allows the user to filter by specific brands.
The Price Range Filter
The platform also works out what are the minimum and maximum prices of the products that are being viewed – and displays a PRICE RANGE filter allowing users to filter for certain price ranges.
The platform also automatically creates a CATEGORY filter in the left sidebar for most product list pages.
Bottom Level Categories
When viewing a sub-category at the bottom level of the category tree, a category filter is created in the left sidebar with all other sub-categories at the same level and the current category's filter automatically selected. This allows the user to extend the products viewable to include other similar categories.
For example, when they are looking at the TROUSERS category, they can also bring in other categories at the same level as TROUSERS to their view using their filters – such as JUMPERS, TOPS, etc.
For higher level categories, instead of a list of refinements in the left sidebar, the sub-categories are listed with hyperlinks into those sub-categories.
Brands, New In & Other Special Categories
When viewing special categories like BRANDS or the NEW IN categories, a category filter is automatically created in the left sidebar for the main categories of the website.
