Displaying Products with Different Colours/Sizes

If you would like to display products that are the same product but a different colour/size when viewing a product, you can set up Related Products that look as follows (displayed under the Add to Basket button):

PLEASE NOTE: This display is only appropriate for related products where there is an obvious visual difference as the only product information shown is the image. This means different colours, sizes where packaging is very different, etc. are suitable examples. If what is different about the alternative item isn't ascertainable from the photo, then it would be best to use the regular related products functionality.

To set this up, just follow these steps:

• Log on as web admin
• Click on CATALOGUE - PRODUCTS and beside the product you want to add related products to, click on View Related Products
• Click Add New Related Products and then enter the following fields:
  • Existing Product Codes - enter one or more product codes separated by commas - note the following:
    
    • These are parent product codes and not version codes
    • If the parent product code does not exist, it will not display an error - instead, you will see that it was not added in the resulting screen
  • Type - select Same Product / Different Colour or Size
  • Sort Order - if you want to set a sort order as to how the products are displayed, enter it here
• Click Save and you should then see the new related products listed in the following screen

Changing the heading:

In the sample screen above, you will see that the default heading is "Also available in these colours".  If you would like to change this, just contact the Help Desk.  For example, you can change it to:
