General Information

There are a number of widget content types available, along with different layouts. Some content types can only be used in certain layouts. You can combine content types within a single widget container - e.g. in a 4 section widget you can have two graphics and two text blocks. Lastly, if you have content to go on site, but aren't sure how to best present it please pop a message through to helpdesk@magico.com and we can help by advising which layout or content type would work best.

Featured Product 

The Featured Product widget allows you to showcase certain products by simply entering the relevant product code and the product image, short description and price will appear.

Text Block

Insert text onto a web page using the Text Block widget. Once created you can edit text directly onto the web page and use the Word Edit Toolbar to edit the text e.g. to add bold, hyperlinks, lists etc. If you would like guidance on how to lay out text, please get in touch with helpdesk@magico.com and we can advise.

Graphic

Insert a graphic directly onto a web page using the Graphic Widget. For more information about graphic dimensions and requirements refer to Graphic and Image Dimensions.

Video

Insert a Video onto your web page using the Video widget. Videos must be sourced from YouTube or Vimeo

Text Button List

This enables you to display a row of buttons with hyperlinks that are automatically generated by entering the button title and url.  It is also possible to add an icon graphic to the button. A maximum of 8 text buttons can be created. 

This is typically used as a Site Wide Graphic or on a category landing page to link into key sub-categories.

Image Button List

This enables you to display a row of Image Button with graphics that are automatically generated by entering the button title and url. A maximum of 8 text buttons can be created. 

This is typically used as a Site Wide Graphic

Contact Form

This enables you to add a Contact Form to a web page, only one form is allowed per page. This form can be customised and can be sent to a designated email address .

Nosto Recommendation

You can enable a Nosto recommendation banner by adding the Nosto Div ID. The Nosto Div ID is available at from the Nosto admin website. 

Countdown

A countdown widget is typically a Site Wide Widget. This allows you to Countdown to the finish of a sale or promotion e.g. Black Friday Sale ends, or last shipping date for Christmas delivery, and also link to the relevant web page. We would not recommend counting down to the start of a sale.

Site Wide Widgets

You can add widgets that appear across the top of every page on the website by clicking Add New Site Wide Header Content or across the bottom of every page on the website by clicking Add New Site Wide Footer Content. These are usually set up on your site at go live and will not require frequent updates.
