Text and Graphic Widgets : How to Guide

1. Log in as Website Admin

2. Select Settings and Edit Site Content from the menu bar

3. To add a new Content Widget to a Free Text page, navigate to the page you wish to add content to e.g Contact Us and select Add New Content

4. Select your preferred Widget Layout from the Standard Tab - you can select from the following content blocks:

• One Content Block
• Two Content Blocks
• Three Content Blocks
• Four Content Blocks

5. To add Text and Graphic to the Contact Us page, choose a Two Content Block

6. Once a preferred layout is chosen, a Widget Manager will appear to help you develop and manage your content.

7. Decide which Widget will be a Text block and which will be a Graphic, choose Text from the drop down for Widget 1 and Graphic from the drop down for Widget 2 (or vice versa if appropriate)

8. Before adding any content we will go into Preview mode

9. To Add Text place your cursor in the position that you want to start your text, you can type directly into the text box and the standard formatting tools are available to you. You can bold and make headers

10. If you have content that you want to copy from a Word Document you first need to copy it to Notepad to remove any unwanted formatting. When you have copied the unformatted text into the text field. Select Block Elements/Paragraph from the Formats Drop Down and you can edit this content as normal

11. To Add a Graphic, Choose Graphic from the drop down for the relevant Widget and follow the instructions for How to Add a Graphic to a Non Product Page e.g. Home Page

12. Complete the following Container Options

• Container Title: If you want to add a Container Title explaining what this content is about insert it here
• Title url: if you want to link to a webpage insert the url here
• Is Active*: If you want the page to appear live on the site ensure it is set to Active *denotes compulsory fields
• If your content is time sensitive you can complete the Active From and Active Until fields

13. To view the changes before they go live, select Preview

14. Save your changes and they will appear live on your site

15. To return to the live website, Select Settings – Stop Editing Content
