If you would like your customers to be able to select a date to collect their order AND / OR select a date for their order to be delivered during the checkout, just email the Help Desk and supply the following with your request:
- Is there a cut-off time that the customer must order before to be able to collect/get delivered to today (or tomorrow)- e.g. "Order before 3:00pm to be able to collect tomorrow"
- Send in the list of working days of the week (e.g. Monday - Friday) that they are allowed to select for collection from this list:
- Monday
- Tuesday
- Wednesday
- Thursday
- Friday
- Saturday
- Sunday
- Do you want to have a different title to "Your Preferred Collection Date" / "Your Preferred Delivery Date" in the checkout?
- Do you want to enter a description to appear under this field in the checkout?
To view the COLLECTION DATE entered by the customer, click UPDATE ORDER when logged in as web admin and the date will appear under "Ready for Collection Date" under the DETAILS tab. You can change this date under the POST SALE tab.
To view the DELIVERY DATE entered by the customer, click UPDATE ORDER when logged in as web admin and the date will appear under "Estimated Delivery Date" under the DETAILS tab. You can change this date under the POST SALE tab.
Setting Lead Time for certain Products
If you set a lead time in days for In Stock - Lead Time or Out of Stock - Lead Time, the earliest collection/delivery date available will be pushed out by this lead time. NOTE that we push out the day only using working days (e.g. if you have specified that collections are only Monday-Friday, it will skip Saturdays and Sundays when adding extra days for this lead time).
Working Days & Setting Special Days off
For all of the above, when working out the earliest collection day, we only look at working days.
You can also supply us with a list of special days off (e.g. Christmas day, etc), by sending a list of days to the Help Desk in the format "1 Feb 2030" and separate them with carriage returns and you can send in the dates for as many years ahead as you want (e.g. the next 10 years) - for example:
25 Dec 2030
1 Jan 2031
17 Mar 2031
2 Jun 2031
