Video Widget : How to Guide

Video is one of the most powerful ways to engage visitors and bring your brand to life. By adding video content to your site, you can:

• Capture Attention Quickly – Videos stand out visually and can communicate your message faster than text or static images.

• Showcase Products in Action – Demonstrate features, benefits, and usage, helping customers make confident purchasing decisions.

• Build Trust and Connection – A brand story, behind-the-scenes look, or customer testimonial video can make your site feel more personal and authentic.

• Improve Engagement and Conversions – Visitors tend to stay longer on pages with video, increasing the likelihood of interaction and purchase.

• Boost SEO Performance – Search engines value rich, dynamic content like video, which can help improve your rankings.

1. Log in as Website Admin

2. Select Settings and Edit Site Content from the menu bar

3. To add a new Content Widget to a Non Product page, navigate to the page you wish to add content to e.g About Us and select Add New Content

4. Select your preferred Widget Layout from the Standard Tab - you can select from the following content blocks. For example if you want to display a Video and have some text beside the video you would choose a Two Content Block, if you just want to display a Video then One Content Block would suffice

• One Content Block
• Two Content Blocks
• Three Content Blocks
• Four Content Blocks
• Advanced Content Layouts

5. Once a preferred layout is chosen, a Widget Manager will appear to help you develop and manage your content.

6. To Add a Video, Choose Video from the drop down for the relevant Widget.

7. Once Video is selected additional fields will appear

• Video Source - Choose from the Drop Down either YouTube or Vimeo
• Video ID - In browser address bar, this is at the end of the URL - This is a combination of letters and numbers in YouTube and a 9 digit number in Vimeo e.g. SaMG6IVwZoE or 287157422
• Section Heading: if you would like a heading to appear above your graphic
• Caption: if you would like to include a caption           

8. Complete the following Widget Container Options

• Container Title: If you want to add a Container Title explaining what this content is about insert it here e.g Watch a Video About Us 
• Title url: if you want to link from the Container Title to a webpage insert the url here. Please note if you are linking to an internal page you should use a relative link
• Is Active*: If you want the page to appear live on the site ensure it is set to Active *denotes compulsory fields

10. To view the changes before they go live, select Preview

11. Save your changes and they will appear live on your site
