Note for clients with Systems Integration

Clients with Systems Integrations may be able to edit these product fields via their ePos/ERP hence this article does not apply. It's important not to edit fields here if they are being synced with your ePos/ERP or else your changes will be overridden by the systems integration batch job.

For clients without Systems Integration follow the steps below to edit products manually in your Online Store

NOTE: This is for Advanced Settings that are not covered by the article on "Manually Adding New Products"

How to Manually Edit an existing Product

1. Log in as Website Admin

2. Select Catalogue – Products

3. Select Update beside the product you want to update

4. The following are Additional Settings available under each tab Show Advanced Settings

Field	Description
Tab - Product Details
Version Dropdown (Optional)	If you are using versions, an option for the version under the product title (e.g. "Size" or "Colour") will appear (only when Versions are being used)
Workflow Settings - Check this box if this product has been approved	FUTURE RELEASE Ignore this field for now, a future release will allow a workflow to be created so that the product must be approved before going live
PRODUCT CODES
Bar Code	You can enter a bar code for this product (if you are not already using bar codes for the product code)
Supplier Code	You can enter a supplier code for this product
Replacement Product Code	If this product is to be replaced by another product enter the replacement code here
ADD TO BASKET
Check this box to disable the ability to purchase this product	When checked, the customer will only be able to MAKE ENQUIRY for this product - they will not be able to add it to their basket
Minimum Order Quantity	If the customer must order a minimum quantity of this product, enter the quantity value here (mainly for B2B websites)
Maximum Order Quantity	If the customer can only order a maximum quantity of this product, enter the quantity value here (e.g. for pharmacy websites where there is a regulation that you cannot order more than a certain quantity in an order)
PACK SIZES
Inner Pack Size Outer Pack Size	This is typically for B2B websites where the customer is recommended to purchase quantities in multiples of these values
ACTIVE DATES
Active From Date Active To Date	Set a date from when a product becomes active or becomes inactive.
PRODUCT DISPLAY
Status Message	Set a status message to display for a product, e.g High Demand
Discontinued & Discontined Message	Check this box if the product is discontinued and set a message for the discontinued product
SHIPPING
Weight	If you would like to record weight for a product, enter it here (e.g. if you are calculating shipping according to weight)
Collection Only Allowed	When CHECKED, and the customer goes to checkout, it will only allow them select a store to collect from - the user will not be allowed to have the order shipped to them
Tab - Pricing & Promotions
PRICE & PROMOTION RESTRICTIONS
Check this box if discounts are disallowed for this product	If you would like to disallow discounts on this product, check this box (e.g. if there is little margin left on this product)
Tiered Pricing	See article on Tiered Pricing and Bulk Discount Pricing
Tax Band	For B2B websites: If you would like to set a tax band for a product, select it here
Cost Price	If you would like to enter the cost price of a product, enter it here (to be used for future releases with reporting functionality)
Tab - Categories
Additional Categories	This is for adding the product into categories other than its' primary category. For example you can add a product to: Filter categories Product / Promotion Groups
SPECIAL CATEGORIES (OPTIONAL)	You can choose to include the product in one or multiple of the following categories
Free Delivery	Check this if a delivery charge is not applicable (e.g. gift cards)
Clearance	Check this if you want this product to appear in the automated Clearance category
Further Reduced	Check this if you want the product to have a FURTHER REDUCED icon on it
Exclusive	Check this if you want the product to have an ONLINE EXCLUSIVE icon on it
Best Seller	Check this if you want the product to have a BEST SELLER icon on it
Tab - Stock Management
Enable Stock Control for this Product	Check this if you want to enable stock control for this product If unchecked, this product will always appear as IN STOCK
Quantity Available	This is the product's current stock level (total quantity available to purchase) This will be adjusted each time this product is included in an order
Display Always (Only if out of stock products configured to not display)	Check this if you want your product to display even when it is out of stock
STOCK LEVELS
Low Stock Quantity	If you would like this product to have a LOW STOCK icon over it when it reaches a certain quantity, enter the quantity here The product will still be available to purchase
Out of Stock Quantity	If you would like this product to have an OUT OF STOCK icon over it when it reaches a certain quantity, enter the quantity here (the default is zero)
LEAD TIMES & MESSSAGING
In Stock Lead Time	If you would like text to be displayed beside the product such as "In stock - Allow X Days for Delivery", enter the number of days here
Out of Stock Lead Time	If you would like text to be displayed beside the product such as "In stock - Allow X Days for Delivery" when the product is out of stock, enter the number of days here This is useful if you always want to display IN STOCK beside products that are out of stock but also give the user the number of days it will take before they receive the product
Low Stock Message Out of Stock Message	These messages appear when the product is LOW STOCK / OUT OF STOCK
Next Available Date	This only appears beside the product when the product is out of stock
