The Bulk Edit screen allows administrators to quickly update multiple products at once from a single grid interface. This tool is designed for fast catalogue maintenance and supports editing pricing, stock, categories, brands, tax bands, shipping settings, promotional data, and more across many products simultaneously.
Accessing the Bulk Edit Screen
To access the screen, you select a number of products in the product list screen by checking their checkboxes - and then click the BULK EDIT button.
For example, if you want to bulk edit new products added, just change the SORT ORDER to NEWEST on the product list screen, and then select the products at the top of the list and click BULK EDIT.
Products Included in Bulk Edit
The screen loads product details including:
- SKU / Product Code
- Product Title
- Promotion Text
- Primary Category
- Brand/Vendor
- Price
- Promotional Price
- Cost Price
- Stock Quantity
- Stock Managed status
- Shipping Band
- Tax Band

- Product Status (Active/Inactive)
Main Grid Features
Editable Spreadsheet-Style Grid
The interface behaves similarly to a spreadsheet:
- Click directly into cells to edit values
- Tab between fields
- Edit multiple rows rapidly:
- By entering a value in a call and dragging it down across the other cells below it to copy the same valuer into them
- OR By selecting rows using the left side checkboxes and clicking APPLY TO ALL
- Changes are tracked automatically
Default Columns
The following columns are shown by default:

The bulk editor includes a live search filter.
Users can search by:
- Product Title
- SKU/Product Code
Search filtering updates the visible grid immediately.
Pagination
The grid supports pagination for large product sets.
Supported page sizes:
- 15 rows
- 50 rows
- 100 rows
The footer displays:
- Current range
- Total products
- Search result counts
Product Selection
Administrators can select products using checkboxes.
Selection options include:
- Individual row selection
- Select all products on current page
- Multi-product selection banner
Selections are used for bulk actions.
Bulk Apply Feature
The Bulk Apply panel allows a single value to be applied to multiple selected products simultaneously.
Supported bulk-editable fields include:
- Status
- Category
- Brand
- Price
- Promo Price
- Promo Text
- Cost Price
- Stock
- Tax Band
- Shipping Band
- Weight
The administrator:
- Selects products
- Opens the Bulk Apply panel
- Chooses a field
- Enters/selects a value
- Applies the update
Fill Handle / Drag Down Editing
The grid supports spreadsheet-style drag filling.
Administrators can:
- Edit one cell
- Drag the fill handle downward
- Copy the value across multiple rows
This works similarly to Excel.
Change Tracking
The system tracks unsaved changes automatically.

- Cell-level change indicators

- Unsaved change counter
- Original value comparison
This allows administrators to clearly see what has been modified before saving.
Product Status Handling
Products can be toggled between:
- Active
- Inactive
The status column uses coloured indicators for visibility:

If a version table represents colour/colour options, the system automatically displays colour swatches.

- Stored HEX colour values
- Generated fallback pastel colours
Saving Changes
When the user clicks Save Changes:
- Only modified fields are collected
- Products are updated individually
The system returns:
- Successful row count
- Failed row count
- Validation errors
Shipping Band Validation
Shipping bands are validated before saving.
Accepted values:
- Integer values only
- Range: 0–10
Invalid values are ignored.
Weight Handling
Weights support:
- Decimal values
