The Analytics Monthly Review is a presentation-ready slideshow that gives you a complete, month-by-month view of your store’s performance for the current year.
It combines high-level KPI tracking with deeper diagnostic insights, helping you understand not just what is happening, but why it is happening.
This report is designed to be reviewed at the start of each month as part of your regular eCommerce performance review.
The review includes all completed months to date, plus an estimated projection for the current month where available.
What’s Included
The Monthly Analytics Review contains 11 slides, grouped into three sections:
1. Year-to-Date Performance (Slides 1–5)
These slides show how your business is performing over time:
- Revenue — Year to Date
- Sessions — Year to Date
- Conversion Rate — Year to Date
- Average Order Value — Year to Date
- Orders — Year to Date
Each slide compares:
- Current year performance
- Previous year performance
- Targets (where applicable)
2. Product Performance Diagnostics (Slides 6–7)
These slides explain what is driving changes in performance:
- Product Conversion Diagnostics — vs Previous Month
- Product Conversion Diagnostics — vs Previous Year
They highlight:
- Products driving revenue gains or losses
- Whether issues are caused by traffic, conversion, or both
- Where performance is improving
3. Revenue Concentration Analysis (Slides 8–11)
These slides identify risk and dependency in your business:
- Product Revenue Concentration
- Top-Level Category Concentration
- Level 2 Category Concentration
- Brand Concentration
They show whether your revenue is overly reliant on:
- A small number of products
- A few key categories
- A limited number of brands
Current Month Estimates
- The report includes all completed months from January to the most recent full month
- The current month is only included after day 7 as an estimate
- Before this point, only completed months are shown
This ensures early-month data does not distort performance trends.
How to Access the Analytics Monthly Review
You can view the report at any time:
- Go into your Dashboard
- Under AIVA, click the dropdown menu and select Analytics Monthly Review
The report will be generated automatically using the latest available data.
How to Use This Report Each Month
Follow this simple monthly workflow:
Step 1: Review Overall Performance
Start with the first 5 slides and ask:
- Are we ahead or behind target?
- How do we compare to last year?
- Which KPI is driving performance (traffic, conversion, AOV, or orders)?
Step 2: Identify What Changed
Use the Product Diagnostics slides to understand:
- Which products caused performance shifts
- Whether issues are traffic-driven or conversion-driven
- Where improvements are coming from
Step 3: Assess Business Risk
Use the Concentration slides to evaluate:
- Are we too dependent on a few products?
- Is one category carrying too much revenue?
- Are we overly reliant on specific brands?
Step 4: Define Actions
Based on your findings:
- Address underperforming products
- Improve visibility or conversion where needed
- Reduce dependency risks by broadening product/category performance
- Align your team on priorities for the month ahead
